With that experience, I moved into a management position that allowed me to experience people management. I upgraded my skills in that area, creating a sounder support structure for the team. I developed metrics for the support and implementation teams where none existed before. During this time I was also doing small infrastructure management. I went on to be a Senior technical PM on an offsite Data Centre disaster centre in New York state. The next project was moving the Vancouver data centre to a custom built data centre in New York state with minimal downtime. Both sites were tested and commissioned with very few issues. I lead a team of 20 analysts and programmers supporting and enhancing the Ecilpsys suite of Acute Care products at Providence. I deal with multiple stakeholders in the organization as well as liasing with both my Vancouver Coastal Health/North Shore Health, Fraser Health and Provincial Health Services Authority counterparts, colleagues and executives. I also have a Relationship Management role for IMIS to the Providence Organization. I am taking a sabbatical from the Royal Roads Masters in Leadership program. I enjoy learning new skills in this area and I continue to read books about management and leadership.
